Hello Monday {Spring Game Day}

Saturday was Spring Game Day at Virginia Tech. This is such a fun day for so many reasons. We get off to an early start since Fellowship of Christian Athletes hosts the Breakfast of Champions at 7:30 in the morning. It is such a sweet time of hearing from some of the student athletes about how God is at work on the campus. As a mom of 3 boys who are avid sports fans, I love that they get to hear these big, tough football players share their favorite verses and what God is teaching them.

After the FCA Breakfast of Champions, the Hokie Village opens at 11 a.m. On one of the turf fields, they set up a bunch of inflatable games and bounce houses. Needless to say, it is always a hit for the kids!

The game starts at 2:30. We didn’t actually stay for the game this year since it had already been a long day for the girls. The great thing about the spring game is that it is open seating and free.

Aaaand now it’s Monday and time to welcome the new week. Hello Monday.

Hello to potty training. Annika has been ready for awhile now but I haven’t been ready. I always try to set aside the first three days of potty training and clear the schedule, stock up on ‘potty treats’, and plan to stay home. So far, the first day has been a huge success and she had several rewards. Here’s hoping the rest of the week goes well.

Hello to shipping out a few signs. We are coming into Wedding Season and that means orders for our family name signs are starting to pick up.

Hello to good times with old friends. The annual VBTS Golf Classic is this week. Andy is going to take Caleb with him and head to Virginia Beach. I am a little sad because I’m not going but mainly happy that the two of them get to spend time with some of our best friends.

Hello to finding joy in the little things. Sometimes life can get so fast paced that I find my focus on just trying to get through. God, help me to see each day as a stewardship of time to use for Your glory. Help me to be intentional with the time you have given me with my children and to treasure their different personalities.

Hello Monday…we are ready for a fresh new week.
